Director General of the Women Department of the Eastern Region
Secretariat, Najd Bint Faleh Al Dosari, said that her administration has
completed licensing procedures for four women projects in the food
truck sector in Dammam, and that 5 other women projects
are being completed in the same sector.
Al Dosari
said during the monthly meeting of businesswomen held by Asharqia
Chamber on Tuesday October 3, 2017 that with the launch of the vision of
the Kingdom of 2030, there is a strong need to find new and
unconventional sources of work. as
the region enjoys a tourist attraction, and with the flourishing of
this sector, some activities began to appear and grow to serve the
public and visitors, including food carts, pointing that the food
carts is a portable facility equipped with special to ensure safe health
conditions in order to prepare and provide food and food To the consumer in the required condition and under the approved health conditions.
In order to obtain the license of the food carts, Al Dosari said that a
number of requirements are: having the requirements of the location and the area, the requirements related to the specifications of the
food cart, complying with the special equipment of the cart and the
requirements related to raw materials and food.
Al Dosari
summarized the failure of projects of portable vehicles for several
reasons, including: lack of management experience in the management of
the team and the way of operation or inventory and provide the necessary
reports, as well as the failure to allocate financial reserve for
failures or even development, in addition to that there is
no mechanism in some projects, as
well as most of the projects in need of lack of product quality or
maintenance, as well as administrative and financial planning including a
